Benson Hsu

Dr. Benson Hsu is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision of data and analytics at Sanford Health. He is a practicing pediatric critical care physician, a role he started at Sanford Health in 2011, and serves as the Medical Director for the pediatric AirMed transport team based out of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota region covering a six-state area. Additionally, Dr. Hsu has held national and regional leadership positions in several medical societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics where he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Section on Critical Care.  He has published over 50 peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and chapters on pediatrics and health services research.

Dr. Hsu received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University, a medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, and completed his training in pediatrics and pediatric critical care from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business, graduating with distinction as a Fuqua Scholar.
