Responsible for Group IT Strategy, Applications and Infrastructure. Managing IT team supporting offices in London, Jersey, Geneva, Barcelona, Mauritius, South Africa, Brazil, and Libya. Delivered IT significant changes to date, split below between Infrastructure and Application work.

IT Infrastructure upgrade

Key accomplishments:

• Devised strategy and lead clean upgrade to Windows Enterprise Server; integrated two separate legacy IT infrastructures into one.

• Negotiated Transition Services Agreement with Investec Bank; lead separation of Jersey, Geneva, and Mauritius Trust Services IT systems from Investec Bank onto new infrastructure. Negotiated Network and Infrastructure hosting agreements and associated SLAs. Accomplished separation without issue, on budget, on scheduled cutover dates. Savings of 60% on network services contracts.

• Initiated and delivered upgrade of PC infrastructure to Thin Client, RDS and VDI: 20% YOY saving.

• Procured and lead roll out of secure remote access technology for access from any device with a web browser; introduced two factor authentication.

• Developed and delivered IT plan for head office move; achieved on schedule within budget.

• Lead setup of new offices in Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro.

Application development and deployment

Lead delivery of

- a Global Security Insight web and mobile application for XL insurance. Please see industry report link below.

- a Global Heat Map for War/Terrorism/Political Violence reports and alerts, for use by insurance underwriters

- an Investor opportunity platform for Salamanca Group; platform delivers equality of opportunity to clients in assessment of / participation in Salamanca Group investments
