CCW Digital Glossary: Integration

A reference to the synergy between the different entities involved in a process.  In a contact center context, integration often refers to agents (can the agents communicate with each other), customer data (do all agents have a clear window into the customer and his previous interactions), channels (can customers and data be passed between channels) and business functions (do the different departments have similar objectives; do they have consistent visibility into the business and its customers).
